Personality: Dante is shy, quiet, lazy, smart, but goofy at the same time once people get to know him. Because of his day to day life as a Hollow, Dante is often heard saying “Sometimes I wish I could just go with the flow and not have to worry about what’s going on around me….just let life sort itself out.” Dante doesn’t like to go anywhere outside of Hueco Mundo simply because he has been there most of his life and when he leaves he just can’t seem to adjust to the new environment that he’s in. As seen when he went to the Soul Society he immediately began complaining about how strange the weather was and how there were too many Shinigami. It should also be noted that his allergies began to bother him. He also doesn’t like to leave his quarters unless the situation absolutely calls for him to. Despite the primary personality Dante lets on, when the time comes, he has shown to be smarter than what most people think and very serious. Dante’s laziness is often shown 90% of the time, this is why most people tend to downplay how smart he is because of the wide variety of things he doesn’t like to do and things he simply just doesn’t like. Dante is well aware of his personality and even states that he hates the way he is. He claims that his shyness compliments his quietness which further compliments his laziness. His shyness makes it easy for him to go long periods of time without much social interaction which makes him quiet, his quietness and refusal to interact with other people gives him nothing to do which then causes him to be lazy and not want to do anything out all, and lastly his goofiness hides how smart he really is allowing other people to think he’s not capable of much, which in turn allows him not to give too much of himself to anything despite the fact that the other Hollow around him try to force him to excel everyone else because they know he can. Dante has constantly been trying to find solutions to his conflicting personality, something that would allow him to experience ‘fun’ and possibly drag out his brighter qualities. The only time Dante seems to be at peace with his mind is when he’s napping. Dante, when in battle, becomes quite arrogant and cocky, he is often seen mocking or taunting his opponents. Whether he is aware of this or not is unknown at the moment. Because of his natural Hollow urges, Dante takes joy in battle for the most part and seems to highly enjoy it (once it actually gets started). However, he too can realize when he’s faced with a dire situation. Besides his natural instinct to enjoy battle, Dante has the least apparent Arrancar traits in Hueco Mundo. He’s less violent and only shows a form of hostility if he’s been pushed over the edge. He also seems to have a more human like side to himself though (he doesn’t directly refer to it as human-like but rather less “Hollowish”), this is seen when he tried to defend one of the lower ranking Espada while he was being punished for something that was beyond his control, defending others was not something that came naturally from beings such as Hollows, this indicated that between the time of being a mere Hollow and an Arrancar that Dante retained his individuality through the process. The few Arrancar that are close to Dante have claimed on numerous occasions that he has a dormant “I should be on top of the world” addition to his personality but states that it is well hidden by his primary showcase of his personality. Dante is not however unaware of this side of his personality. If he must, Dante will occasionally flaunt his ranking and power in order to gain what is needed from others, this sometimes causes others to refer to him as a bit manipulative in the least case. Another deceptive technique that Dante uses are using the events that have happened to anyone he’s manipulating to his advantage. This further increases his prey’s compliance to bend to his will. Despite his sloth like personality, this shows that Dante is not anyone to be taken lightly once his true nature surfaces. Once his true nature unravels, there are many things in Hueco Mundo that happen to others simply because they’re not aware of what damage Dante can truly cause if they’ve done something to him that should be returned payback…Or better yet, just because he greatly dislikes them. Once Dante has bended the will of karma, everything in turn will eventually go his way one way or the other.
~Abilities and Skills~Abilities:

Ola Azul (Blue Wave Gun): A technique in which Dante pulls his sword back as it gathers blue spiritual energy around the entire blade and launches it at his opponent; it takes the form of an energy blade projectile. He has also demonstrated the ability to keep the energy concentrated around the blade itself and unleash it in the form of a ribbon when attacking.

Reality Distortion/Body Displacement: This ability allows Dante to make his entire body intangible for a few seconds to avoid physical harm. While his body is intangible, Dante can not cause any harm until his body becomes tangible once more. This means that this ability is only used for defensive measures. This technique is exactly how he gained the alias “Phantom Hollow”. This technique however is not flawless; the time interval in between the times it can be used is very lengthy. He can only use this technique 2 times per battle.

Shadow Paralysis: This is another one of Dante’s innate abilities. This allows him to extend his shadow on any surface (even water) and as far as he wants as long as there is a sufficient area. Once it comes into contact with the opponent’s shadow, the two merge and the target is subject to paralysis over their entire body in that instant (excluding the face). Aside from capturing and subduing an opponent, Dante can also materialize his shadow into several sharp needles which are controlled mentally. The shadow needles also immobilize the opponent by sewing/impaling them. This method is used mainly when Dante is trying to both capture and kill his opponent. The downside to this technique is that someone who is exerting enough reiatsu can easily break out of the shadow paralysis.

~Character History~Before Death Arc/Hollow Arc/Power Arc: Before becoming an Arrancar that served within the walls of Las Noches, Dante was approached by a man named Aizen Sosuke, a rogue Shinigami from Soul Society who was using Vasto Lorde classed Hollows as his invasion force to do battle with the Gotei 13. Dante was curious about Aizen’s offer of putting him in the ranks but in the very end Dante refused. He heard that Aizen was speeding up the evolutionary process of Vasto Lordes to further their stage in the Shinigamification phase. Dante refused to skip the prime of his evolution and also refused to be given a “rank” in his own home. He refused to be subjected to ranks and authority levels. But, it wasn’t the simple fact that he had to be given a number based on his power, it was the fact that a Shinigami, the beings whom Hollows have gone to the ends of the world to kill were now giving directions to Hollows themselves, the very thought of it was disgusting in the eyes of Dante. Even though Dante was already a humanoid Vasto Lorde classed Hollow at the time of Aizen’s failed recruitment, he felt that if he took power from the tool known as the Hogyoku, it wouldn’t really be his at all. As time passed news had spread through Hueco Mundo of Aizen’s defeat and the fall of the 10 Vasto Lordes who followed him. Dante had gained an immense amount of power since meeting Aizen and figured it was time for Las Noches to experience the change; he was going to become an Espada and join the ranks. Before, he couldn’t stand the thought of being given a level of power based on his reiatsu but now that Aizen was gone he knew it would be better if Hollows dictated each other’s level power based on combat with each other. Overtime the numbers of Vasto Lordes in Las Noches grew and Hueco Mundo was now the full base of high classed Hollows. Currently Dante is serving as an Espada in the Primera Espada’s Army of Vasto Lordes.
Dante had served numerous years as military strength for Las Noches. As time has gone by, the ranks and members of the Espada have constantly rotated and been changed or even killed by new members who take their place. Many of the former Espada Dante worked with either became Privaron Espada or were killed for their positions. Dante however, managed to maintain his particular position for an extended duration of time. One day, it had been announced by the Primera Espada that Dante had been challenged for his rank by a newcomer. Dante was defeated but it did not come without cost, the person who had challenged him had suffered many life threatening wounds that could have killed him. Immediately after that fight, Dante was given the offer to become a Privaron Espada, he however refused to be given a rank if it was not within the range of the "Top Ten Swords". Dante was a rogue Arrancar for what seemed like a series of decades and has remained one since. He longed to regain his position as Espada and constantly slayed Adjuchas classed & Menos Grande classed Hollows to do it. After accumulating enough power, Dante challenged the very hollow who took his position and obliterated him instantly. Dante has since then retained his position as an Espada.
RP SampleAs usual Las Noches was inactive, the Arrancar came and went as they pleased and it seemed that not even the Shinigami came to attempt a small invasion of some sort on the Hollows. This could indeed be referred to as a time of peace for all of the known spiritual races. It was a new thing for him, but Dante decided to come into the Forest of Menos to look around and possibly scavage up some new recruits...mostly Vasto Lordes. Dante looked at the Adjuchas classed hollow who were in their own seperate groups, they dared not to come near an Espada. The simple sight of Dante was enough to put them all in fear, however they didn't interest Dante the least bit. The Vasto Lordes usually resided in a different branch of the Forest along with the Menos Grande, he had ways to go until he made it that far. As Dante strolled through he noticed a small reiatsu, all that were the Forest of Menos were nothing but Hollows so it was easy to spot out. This reiatsu however seemed to be a mixture of a Shinigami and a Hollow, he surmised that it was a Visored more or less.
" Now what would a half-breed be doing in Hueco Mundo? Surely not trying to make his new home here... "Dante raised the volume of his voice to a bare minimum so only he himself would be able to hear himself talk. Dante followed the reiatsu to its source and finally stumbled upon a man in a tree.
" Maybe I should kill him now and get it over with so I won't have to listen to Kadaj when he returns..... "Finally a thought had emerged, Kadaj wasn't present. This meant that Dante was free of orders and wouldn't neccessarily have to do any form of fighting while he was away, Dante wasn't really a killer anyway unless the situation permitted. The visored was lucky, Dante was probably the only Espada who still displayed some sane traits even within the chaos of the world. Dante moved his arm back and slammed his fist into the tree, the force he applied would only cause the tree to shake and not completely fall apart like any other
