I am Melissa Justea, the Monarch of Cruinthe, Princess Superior. As I sit here writing this my capital city, Fordeth, and the country, burns at the touch of traitors and heretics. Dark men and women that want this world for their darker gods. My soldiers, bless them, fight on for the people, and for me. They sacrifice themselves to preserve what is just and good in the world.

Darklings at their backs, traitors and heretics at their front. They are used to being surrounded, especially my officers, my loyal Knights. In my reign, since I took up this task, I knew one year of peace. One year out of eight, that my soldiers have not fought for me. They are the best the world will ever know. They have fought against hell's legions and triumphed, and they will fight these traitors and this dark tide, these Darklings, to the last man if they must.

But I must be wary. Not all of them are loyal. Some of the nobles, and some of the officers, and some of the common citizens are aligned with those forces of darkness. I must root them out, and speed them on to their oblivion, before they send me to mine. I wonder, if you, the one that finds this account, are related to one of my heroes, or one of the villains?
