~Character Information~Name: Ryousuke Takahashi
Nickname/Alias: Ryou
Height: 6'0
Weight: 163
Age: 45
Appearance: Ryousuke appears to be much older than his 35 years. His hair turned colour from brown to white prematurely, when he was but 21 years of age. However, he made no attempts to dye his hair to resemble it's original colour. He keeps his snow coloured locks fairly tidy, making sure that
it doesn't obscure his already poor vision. The longest of the bangs just barely brush the tops of his almond shaped eyes. As it nears the back of his
neck, his hair tapers off to a small point residing at the middle of his neck.
High cheek bones frame friendly, warm eyes- however, only one of his iris' retains it's brilliant blue colour. The iris in his left eye is a milky white
hue, indicating blindness. The cause of the lack of sight is a long scar that runs from his forehead, down through the middle of his eye and tapers off at
the start of his jawline. Despite the fact that he lacks sight in only one eye, Ryousuke insists on wearing his silver framed rectangular glasses instead of using a monocle.
Due to extensive damage in the muscle tissue and bone in his left leg, Ryousuke walks with a noticeable limp. He was prescribed to a cane, but rarely uses it.
Clothing: Ryousuke generally dons a plain white t-shirt with a
black plaid over shirt. Sometimes he'll do the plaid shirt up or leave it
unbuttoned, depending on the day or his mood. He often wears light albeit worn
jeans, and a simple brown belt looped through the belt loops. Blue and white
running shoes cover his feet, although they look as if they've seen much better
days.
Personality: Ryousuke comes off as a very friendly individual. It is not uncommon for him to chat up complete strangers on a whim. Oftentimes
he will go for a walk about the city, run into someone and have a small conversation.
Despite his carefree, happy go lucky ways, Ryousuke is surprisingly observant. Years of being an extreme competitor in sports throughout his school career trained his eye to notice the small little details; the slight way a person moves can tell it all, whether they're ready to throw a punch or
ready to run away. His reflexes are also fairly sharp, although not nearly as good as they could be due to his impaired vision and lame leg.
From years of experience in fights, Ryousuke is quite
capable of discerning a person’s next move, whether it be offensive, defensive or passive. His 45 years give him an edge over most of the younger Fullbringers and super powered humans, although
it has a few drawbacks. He is not as strong as he once was, and his mobility is somewhat limited, so if faced against a physically strong opponent, it would most likely be an even match. However, Ryousuke prefers to avoid fighting, and would rather solve something with words over fists. But if innocent people or children will be hurt, he will use violence to solve a problem as long as it protects said people/children.

Other InformationHollow arc:Ryousuke’s mother was eight months pregnant when she was attacked. Whilst walking home from a friend’s house on that fateful night, she was confronted by an Adjuchas class hollow. The beast had been chasing some lower level hollows through the
vast desert of Hueco Mundo when it fell through a Garguanta, and found itself in the World of the Living. Enraged and confused, it attacked the first thing it saw; Mrs. Takahashi. The young woman could only see the vaguest of outlines to indicate the beast, and panicking, she ran. However, the Adjuchas easily caught up and cornered her in an alleyway only a block away from home. A bad mistake on his part. A cornered woman defending not only her
life but her unborn child’s as well is as dangerous as a grizzly bear defending its cubs. Using pepper
spray and a lead pipe (found in the alley) she managed to keep the monster at bay, until it suddenly seemed to explode. She rushed home, not realizing that her life had been saved by a Shinigami. Three weeks later, Ryousuke was born prematurely. Concerns for her baby consumed her mind, and all thoughts of the incident disappeared.
Child Arc:Ryousuke’s behaviour was vastly different when he was a child. Put simply, he was a problem child. He would always get into fights with the other boys, even in Kindergarten. Perhaps it was pent up frustration from not being allowed to see his father, who was locked up in jail on numerous charges. Perhaps it was his mother’s attitude towards her former husband, whom Ryousuke held in high regard. Either way, the boy was
incredibly violent and unpleasant, a stark contrast to his current character.
Ryousuke was a little late in discovering his
Fullbring. When he was eight years old,
his father sent him a pair of black fingerless gloves for his birthday, and he absolutely adored them. From that day on, those black gloves were always on his hands, no matter where he went- he even wore them to bed. About two months
later, Ryousuke’s mother forced him into boxing lessons, hoping it would help him vent all of the pent up anger that fuelled his fights. At first Ryousuke was unhappy with the arrangement, but soon learned to love the sport, and he was surprisingly adept at it. After only three months of training, he claimed the Youth League Champion Belt, proving his talent. It was then that his Fullbring decided to show its true nature.
Well, more like after the ceremony. Quite a few of the competitors were angry that Ryousuke had won, and a fight occurred behind the league building. Had it been six on one, Ryousuke could have easily beaten the snot out of them. But six
teen on one was quite a different matter. However, his Fullbring finally changed into a pair of blue boxing gloves. Taking the chance to hit while the enemies were surprised, Ryousuke easily won the fight. Later he observed that the places he it were coated with a light sprinkling of frost, the beginnings of the first Active Ability.
Curious about the powers of his father’s gift, he immediately began searching. Ryousuke may have been a problem child with a knack for fighting, but he
was by no means unintelligent. After committing
a few crimes and searching farther than any normal person would, the boy finally found his answers. His gloves were Fullbring. Upon this discovery, he
began to train and experiment with them, trying to master them. Between this and boxing, he began to fight less, focusing his energy on the most important things in his life at the moment. His mother was quite relieved at his lack of interest in unofficial fighting now.
As years passed, Ryousuke continued to
conquer the boxing world, and also began to get the hang of wielding his Fullbring, Ice Play. He had also mellowed out considerably, seeing the world in a different light. He was like another person now, as he continued to follow through on his dream of becoming the World Boxing Champion and mastering Ice Play as well.
To Now Arc:When Ryousuke was but twenty years old, he had already claimed the title of the National Boxing Champion, and was being scouted for the International League.
Then, on one fateful night everything was taken from him. Confronted and assaulted by the angry, former National Champion, Ryousuke suffered severe injuries. He recovered, but the damage was permanent. With a lame left leg and no sight in his left eye, his dreams were shattered. Ryousuke fell into a deep depression like one would expect. However, he also continued to train with his Fullbring, determined to master it now that it was the only thing he had left to strive for. Ten
months after the accident, his mother was committed to a ward facility for the mentally unstable. This only furthered
his drive.
As of now, Ryousuke has considerable control
over Ice Play, but is certain that there are a few other techniques he has to learn before he has mastered the weapon’s different abilities.
RP Sample:It was an exquisitely beautiful day out as far as Ryousuke was concerned. The sun was shining brightly, its warm rays taking the chill out of the breeze. The pale, azure coloured sky was flawless,
aside from the white, wispy clouds that were moving sluggishly, as if they were content with their position and reluctant to move. As to be expected on such a day, the park was exceptionally busy. During his walk, Ryousuke had met and talked to several people of a wide range of ages walking their dogs, riding their bikes, going for a walk, sightseeing and many other activities. It was pleasant, seeing so many people happy at one time. Rare, too.
“Hey, Ryousuke!” A loud, nasally voice called. Ryousuke immediately recognized that voice as
Yamato, the owner of a bookstore Ryousuke frequented.
“Hello, Yamato.” Ryousuke greeted, finally locating the man. He walked over to the short, squat fellow. The difference in height and fitness was drastic. Yamato could easily be classified as a ‘dwarf’. His dark brown hair had receded back, leaving a shiny bald spot on the top of his head. Small, watery eyes locked onto Ryousuke’s almond shaped ones. It was amazing that the smaller man could see past his large, bulbous nose.
“So, how’s it going?” Yamato inquired in his raspy voice. It always sounded like he was getting over a
bad cold.
“Good, and yourself?” Ryousuke answered politely.
“Great,” Yamato beamed at him, displaying yellowing, crooked teeth. There was a large gap from his top left incisor all the way to the back molar. “Sales have skyrocketed, and we’re getting a new shipment of books in today.” He explained. Air whistled through the gap in his teeth whenever he breathed in. To those who did not know Yamato well, it was infuriating, but Ryousuke had known the shopkeeper for roughly a year now. He was quite capable of ignoring that odd, faint whistling noise.
He smiled. “Good to hear it.” He was sincere
when he said that. Yamato’s store had
been about to go out of business when the two men first met, but somehow it had stayed afloat and pulled through. Truly a miracle. Yamato opened his mouth to say something, but was interrupted by a small voice.
“Papa! Papa, look what I found!” A little boy said, running up to the two.
The boy was Yamato’s son, Jirou. Twigs
were sticking out of Jirou’s dark brown hair, and his face and clothes were smeared with mud. The boy was lucky he took after his mother, and not his father.
“What is it?” Yamato inquired, looking suspiciously at his son’s closed hands. With a big, goofy grin on his face, Jirou removed his top hand a little, and an amphibian head poked out.
“I found a froggy!” Jirou beamed, and Yamato sighed in exasperation, but there was a smile on his face.
“C’mon, let’s go put him back home. I’ll chat with you later, Ryou!” With that, the pair was off. Ryousuke couldn’t help but smile at the sight.
It was a beautiful day indeed.

Name: Ice Play
Appearance: When deactivated, Ice Play appears to be regular, fingerless black gloves.
Transform Appearance: When activated, Ice Play morphs into blue boxing gloves.
Fullbring Special: Ice Play is mainly a close combat/melee weapon, although it can be used for training as well. Some of Ice Play’s abilities could be considered, but they’re just passive abilities that affect the surrounding landmass.
Abilities:Passive:Ice Ring
Active:Frostbite
Glacier Hook
Ice Jab
Ability Name: Ice Ring
Type: Elemental/Ranged/Passive
Range: Medium
Duration: 15 minutes
Ice Ring essentially covers a square
area measuring 20 feet by 20 feet in ice.
The measurements are equal to that of an average boxing ring. Ice Ring occurs naturally, however it will melt after 15 minutes. It will reform after a ‘cool down’ period of five minutes. If Ryousuke’s reiatsu is getting low, or he is getting tired, Ice Ring will melt no matter how long it’s been out and will not reform. This ability simply makes the footing of the opponent unsteady, and boosts the power of Active Abilities by 3%. Ice Ring can also be melted by fire based attacks and shattered or marred by other attacks. It can form in air, but only for a maximum of five minutes.
Ability Name: Frost Bite
Type: Elemental/Melee
Range: Close
Duration: Not applicable
Frost Bite is the simplest of the Active Abilities. If Ryousuke lands a hit on something, frost will coat the affected area. The frost will spread to other parts of the body if not shaken off. Can be negated by flames, Kido or just scraping it off works too. If Ice Ring is ‘out’ the frost spreads 3
times faster than usual.
Ability Name: Glacier Hook
Type: Elemental/Melee
Range: Close
Duration: Not applicable
More powerful than Frostbite, although it doesn’t stick. When Ryousuke uses a right or left hook, ice will form at the tip of the glove in a nasty, sharp
point. Whether the attack hits or misses, the ice melts after the swing. It can also be melted by fire or shattered by other forms of attack. Also, if swung into a hard surface (i.e. concrete) it will break. Evidently, if you’re hit with it, the ice breaks through the skin and penetrates the flesh, leaving a wound. The size and sharpness of the ice depends on many things. If Ice Ring is in it’s icy stage, the ice’s durability and sharpness will increase by 3%, which although it doesn’t seem like much, it can make a big difference.
Ability Name: Ice Jab
Type: Elemental/Melee
Range: Close
Duration: Not applicable
Ice jab is the final ability (so far). Ice coats the boxing gloves in a thick layer, but there are no spikes. This attack focuses on brute force, and the power is increased by the ice’s presence. Capable of shattering a person’s ribs, this attack activates when Ryousuke throws a jab. The ice on the gloves can melt/break/crack/shatter just like in all the
other attacks.
